Today I’d like to share 7 quotes to boost your motivation and productivity. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE quotes. They certainly inspire me, motivate me, provoke me, encourage me, make me laugh, make me cry and often stir up a multitude of emotions. They’re all around us, especially in the online world. In fact, I see quotes popping up on websites I visit daily and in all my social media feeds.

So, I like to start my day with reading some of my favourite quotes and I thought it would be fun to share some.

‘Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful.’ – Annette Funicello

We all know that, right? This last year has been particularly challenging for so many of us. It’s often the little things in life that fill us with hope and joy such as a colourful blossom, a baby’s smile, receiving a card in the mail from a friend, hearing the dawn chorus, witnessing a beautiful sunset, etc. Always try to be honest with yourself as to what you want out of life and what you want to give during your life. Furthermore, it’s good to allow your mind to dream and think big.

‘A great attitude does much more than turn on the lights in our worlds; it seems to magically connect us to all sorts of serendipitous opportunities that were somehow absent before the change.’ – Earl Nightingale

A positive mind and a happy, upbeat attitude are an essential part of me. What about you? Studies have shown that a person living in a happy state often achieves significantly more in just about everything they do. Certainly this relates to attitude. While a bad attitude can drag you down, a good attitude and a positive, healthy mind will help you meet your goals. So, try to set aside some time every day for something that makes you laugh. Read a funny book. Watch your favourite comedy show. Enjoy a coffee with an entertaining friend – anything as long as it gets your endorphins going.

‘What you think of yourself is much more important than what others think of you.’ – Seneca

Why is it that for a lot of our lives we worry about what people think about us? Maybe like me you’re becoming less concerned about what other people think of you. However, going forward I’m concentrating more on my attitude towards myself and making sure I always get the best from myself. I’m constantly increasing my standards and striving for more.

Staying positive and surrounding ourselves with people that share a positive attitude helps rejuvenate us. When you feel discouraged or frustrated it’s beneficial to reflect on what you’ve achieved. A great challenge is to prove to yourself that you can do it!

flames of fire

‘Creativity is a spark. It can be excruciating when we’re rubbing two rocks together and getting nothing. And it can be intensely satisfying when the flame catches and a new idea sweeps around the world.’ – Jonah Lehrer

I like to get my creative juices flowing daily . If like me, you’re an ideas person you’ll never be short of new ones. I love to share ideas and thoughts with like-minded people. I enjoy nothing more than seeing an idea, be it mine or someone else’s, come to fruition.

‘We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.’ – Dalai Lama

Having inner peace is the most incredible feeling and it’s important to make peace with ourselves at the start of each day. This clears our minds so that we can start each day with a fresh outlook. Try to learn from the past and value those difficult lessons, but don’t dwell on them or beat yourself up over them.

‘You have not lived a perfect day, unless you’ve done something for someone who will never be able to repay you.’ – Ruth Smeltzer

We should all adopt this attitude. Life is all about learning and in a way we’re all life-long learners. Try to make a difference and take great pleasure in guiding others to achieve their potential as well. You can get a lot out of helping people reach to new horizons.

What is life without friends? My friends are like the quotes I love – they inspire me, motivate me, sometimes provoke me, encourage me, make me laugh, make me cry and often stir up a multitude of emotions.
